Z-mac Spain sold out: The new machinery trade fair for the furniture and wood industry enters the Iberian market

Z-mac Spain is sold out. The 10% net space ZOW Spain did put aside for the organisation of an exclusive small machinery presentation within the ZOW show has been sold out. Market leaders like Novorex (SCM), Homag, Barberán, Grupo CEEM, Egurko, Koch and others who already tried the concept last year, repeat experience and will now be joined by a number of other companies like Construcciones PBR, ITEMSA, Robatech España, IMA Klessmann, Fiorenza, Utilajes Boy and others who together will occupy the given space.

The Z-mac concept pretends to be an highly exclusive platform which only gives access to manufacturers of woodworking machinery, woodworking tools, woodworking accessories and corresponding software developers, but always following the rules of the ZOW show concept, with its limited space per exhibitor (maximum 180 m2 in the case of Z-mac), limited mounting time and its clear restrictions on running of the machinery. Those restrictions turned out in the first two trial years as beneficial to both the ZOW as well as the Z-mac participants, as long as the space proportions of 90% to10% would be respected and as long as brand and company owners would participate, as is the case in ZOW, where most company owners also show up personally.

ZOW/Z-mac organizer André Baken: “It soon became clear to all of us that the ZOW concept in Spain, where direct contacts and business between brand and company owners are the main dish, could fit also to machinery producers as long as they would adapt to this different expo concept. It was also soon clear that the proportions would need to be clearly defined if they would exhibit together and under one roof. That’s why we fixed last year the 90/10% rule for ZOW/Z-mac. I am sure that this way of working will again show to be very beneficial to ZOW as well as Z-mac exhibitors.”

Z-mac and ZOW will be hold from the 10th to the 13th of June 2008, IFEMA Madrid, Hall 10.
