Z-mac - the new machine show in Istanbul - Premiere coincides with ZOW on October 1-4, 2009

Z is a letter that spells success. Hence, the new machine show from Survey which takes its name Z-mac from the Z for ZOW and adds a “mac” for “machines”. The B2B event will be taking place for the first time on October 1-4, 2009, at the Istanbul Expo Center at the same time as ZOW. Exhibiting at Z-mac will be national and international suppliers of woodworking and furniture production machinery and their commercial subsidiaries in Turkey and the Middle East. The show targets the wood and furniture industries in these thriving markets, which include the Gulf States, and is set to become the new industry platform in Anterior Asia.

The Z-mac product range encompasses the entire array of machines and accessories on offer to the wood and furniture industries. This includes, for example, machines for secondary processing or for surface finishing; machines for assembly and packaging as well as for maintenance and manufacturing of tools; auxiliary equipment and portable machines for processing of timber and plastic; technical equipment for energy saving, environmental protection, occupational safety and fire prevention. Z-mac sets out to mirror the technical progress and expertise which is currently flourishing in this internationally engaged industry. The plant engineering sector in particular represents huge potential for innovation and continues to set first-rate quality standards.

Why hold a machine show in Turkey? The answer is obvious: its high growth rates make Turkey one of the most lucrative markets in the world. The furniture and interior design sector is booming and provides both furniture suppliers and machine manufacturers with excellent sales opportunities. The furniture and interior design industries have been among the strongest growth industries in Turkey for years now, favored with high investment from private businesses and state institutions in the housing construction sector. In 2006 and 2007, production volumes for furniture in Turkey increased by 50 percent in each year and a similar rate of increase is expected in 2008. Hence the need for new, high performance machines.

Unique show concept

Z-mac is based on a unique workshop concept - which ZOW has promoted worldwide and to great success – attuned to the reality of a machine show. Exhibition stands of various sizes in 100 m2 categories are inviting to visitors and lend transparency to the overall appearance. Managed forum space creates open areas, enabling contact between exhibitors and visitors to take place in a relaxed atmosphere. Parking, entry to the show, and catering are free of charge to trade visitors. Invitations to ZOW are aimed primarily at company decision-makers, which creates the basis for excellent business right from the start.

Exhibitors book an all-inclusive package, which includes all the essential exhibition services: the stand itself incl. specific display modules, power supply and lighting, carpeting in the courses and forum areas, free parking, entree and catering for exhibitors and visitors, security service inside the exhibition halls, advertising and PR work relating to the show.
