The third Year of the M Technology Award:
Award Ceremony at ZOW 2009 in Verona

The ninth ZOW in Italy is taking place at the Veronafiere exhibition centre from 21 to 24 October 2009. One highlight of the supplier fair in Verona will be the award ceremony for the M Technology Award 2009. All interested supplier companies from the furniture industry, interior design, architecture and design have until 21 August to register their innovative contributions for this year’s competition.

The M Technology Award has been presented by ZOW organiser Survey Marketing + Consulting GmbH & Co. KG, Bielefeld/Germany, since 2007. The official partner of this year’s competition is the Italian design association ADI (Associazione il Diesegno Industriale – Delegazione Nord Est). Since its successful launch three years ago, the award has been organised and run by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover. Outstanding supplier products with a broad, international basis will once again be awarded this year. The award ceremony is for the first time ever taking place in the autumn at ZOW in Italy. On 21 October, the opening day of the ZOW exhibition, the winning products and concepts of the 2009 competition will be officially made public.

An international Platform for clever Supplier Ideas

As an annual, open competition, the M Technology Award is attractive not only to exhibitors from all of Survey’s international ZOW events in Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey and China: non-ZOW exhibitors can also take part and present their latest developments to the jury of experts. Submissions are welcome from all the ZOW product categories – materials, chemical products, surfaces, supplier products for interior design, built-in parts and systems, fittings, semi-finished parts as well as services related to the sector and concepts.

The winners are selected on 10 September 2009 by a specialist jury in a closed selection process. The five jurors are experts in architecture, interior architecture, materials and design: Prof. Ruth Berktold (yes architecture, Munich/Germany), Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Rudolf Schricker (BDIA Bund Deutscher Innenarchitekten, Association of German Interior Designers, Stuttgart/Germany), Jens Kohlhase (Volkswagen AG, Wolfsburg/Germany), Paolo Favaretto (Favaretto & Partners, Padua/Italy) and Alex Terzariol (MM Design, Brixen/Italy).
 
The M Technology Award provides the supplier sector with a diverse, international forum for their forward-looking ideas. And ZOW is the perfect platform for the award being as it is the central innovation exchange for the furniture industry and interior design. All of the products receiving an M Technology Award 2009 will be exclusively presented at subsequent international ZOW events; online documentation of these products is available at any time on the websites www.zow.info and www.ifdesign.de.
