Focus Küche & Bad 2009:
"Hit it Big!" for innovative Kitchen Concepts
Between 19 and 25 September 2009, Focus Küche & Bad will be showcasing the current product trends and innovations from the kitchen and bathroom sector at the Hiddenhausen exhibition centre. This is the ninth time this event has been run and it welcomes around 90 national and international exhibitors to a floor space of 11 000 m2. More than 12 000 national and international visitors are expected to attend.
Eastern Westphalia is the core region for the kitchen and bathroom sector. At just the right time every year Focus Küche & Bad offers a professional platform for the key stage of sales activities between manufacturers and retail at the very heart of this market. After M.O.W. was moved to a spring date, Focus Küche & Bad has now taken on an even more key position as the centre and pivotal point of the autumn exhibition calendar in eastern Westphalia, from which all housing trade fairs will also stand to benefit.

At Focus Küche & Bad renowned supplier and manufacturing companies and service providing associations for the sector will be showcasing their product and design innovations for built-in kitchens, worktops, dish-washing, taps, electrical devices, lighting, built-in systems, accessories and kitchen planning software. Famous names including Bauknecht, Baumatic, Blanco, Beko, Best, Damixa, Electrolux, Franke, Gorenje, Liebherr, Naber, Schock and Villeroy & Boch will also attend the 2009 event as specialists, showcasing interesting product innovations and enriching the range of exhibitors at Focus Küche & Bad for visitors.
Last year, event organiser Survey Marketing + Consulting welcomed plenty of new exhibitors to Hiddenhausen and most of them will be back again this year: Abbina Germany, Berbel Ablufttechnik, EK Servicegroup, Grupp Metall/Meyer Stahlmöbel, Hündling Plattentechnik, Küche & Co., Quooker Deutschland, Sedia Küchentechnik and Stone.de. Some providers such as Compusoft and Wesco - M. Westermann have even extended the size of their stands for the exhibition this September. Companies exhibiting for the first time this year include Adler Dunstabzugshauben, Clage, FB Vertriebs-GmbH, Fischer-Lange, Magna Westfalia, Weibel Abluft-Tuning and Wertgarantie Technische Versicherung AG.
Once again the major purchasing associations AMK, Der Kreis, EK Servicegroup, Küchen-Areal – Garant-Möbel Marketing, Küchen Partner and Küchentreff will be using the opportunity offered up by Focus Küche & Bad to present their extensive selection of services. The German Kitchen Manufacturers’ Association (Verband der Deutschen Küchenmöbelindustrie, VdDK) will be holding its annual press conference here on Monday 21 September and will provide information on current trends in the kitchen sector.
The Showcase for current Trends and Developments
New trends in the kitchen sector require innovative concepts in product development. As the very heart of a house or flat, the kitchen has become a multifunctional entity which embodies cooking, eating, living, communication, information and entertainment. When customers decide whether or not to purchase a product, they no longer just consider functionality, aesthetics, material quality or the integration of innovative technologies. Sustainability, environmental-friendliness and energy efficiency in the product’s manufacture and use are now among the top requirements for consumers. At Focus Küche & Bad 2009 exhibitors will be documenting whether they can supply convincing solutions for these particular requirements. So it seems that this year’s motto for Focus Küche & Bad – “Hit it big!” – is more than fitting.Transparency thanks to FKM Certification
Event organiser Survey has applied for FKM certification for Focus Küche & Bad which will come into force after this year’s event in September. This procedure represents another major quality feature for the B2B platform: independent auditing of the number of exhibitors and visitors and the exhibition area by FKM – Society for Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics in Berlin (www.fkm.de). The objective, comparable measurement data which all market players are free to access as a result delivers transparency and provides reliable bases for decision-making. The dates for next year’s event have already been announced. The tenth Focus Küche & Bad will take place between 18 and 24 September 2010 in Hiddenhausen.
