FurniFab Furniture Fabric Show in Poznań 2009:
Product Innovations from Textile Suppliers before the Spring Trade Fairs

For the second time this year, Furnifab, the Furniture Fabric and Accessories Show, took place at the trade fair venue in Poznań, Poland, providing a showcase for suppliers’ latest products for the seating and upholstered furniture industry: From 17 to 19 November, 30 exhibitors presented their current products and design developments – right before the eight key furniture trade fairs in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.

Organisers Survey Marketing + Consulting Sp. z o.o. (Poznań) opted at short notice to bring the event forward from spring to autumn in response to the rescheduling of "Meble Polska". Following on from the successful spring event in 2009, the preparation time available for the November show was unusually tight.

Modest in size, but certainly impressive

The fact that Furnifab took place on a much more intimate scale than usual in trade fair pavilion 15 certainly didn’t impinge on the quality of service and product ranges. 30 highly motivated exhibitors impressed the 1080 visitors with an attractive selection of products and professional presentation. Experts in the sector showed their appreciation by displaying keen interest and holding intensive discussions at the trade fair stands Afterwards, the majority of exhibitors seemed particularly satisfied with the quality of customer contacts and the overall result.

Ever since 2003, Furnifab has served as a professional industry forum for the seating and upholstery industry in Central and Eastern Europe. The target audience of Furnifab, which is geared towards volume business, consists mainly of decision-makers in purchasing, design and product management. In addition to visitors from Poland and the Baltic states, the show now attracts industry professionals from Russia, Germany, Benelux and even Southern Europe.

The complete product spectrum of Furnifab covers the traditional product segments such as covering materials, semi-finished parts, padding und lining materials, cushion pads and inserts, fabrics, microfibre materials and real and artificial leather, to foam rubber, foam plastics, felt, mattress materials, moulded cushions, spring systems and components (such as spring cores, coil springs and spring cages), cushion frames, castors and threads – not to mention sewing machines, cloth cutters and software.

A selection of key Furnifab product groups were represented between 17 and 19 November. Furnifab was therefore able to provide manufacturers in the seating and upholstered furniture industry with valuable inspiration in preparation for the major furniture trade fairs in spring 2010: imm Cologne in Cologne/Germany (18 - 24 January 2010), Furniture Poland in Poznań/Poland (16 - 19 February 2010), MTM in Ostroda/Poland (15 – 19 March 2010), Furniture Fair in Brno/Czech Republic (10 – 14 March), Furniture Fair in Kiev/Ukraine (10 – 13 March 2010), Furniture Fair in Nitra/Slovakia (9 - 14 March 2010), Furniture Fair in Vilnius/Lithuania (25 – 28 March 2010) and M.O.W. in Bad Salzuflen/Germany (25 - 28 April 2010).
