Süddekor campus at the ZOW Bad Salzuflen

Those visiting the Süddekor stand at this year’s ZOW in Bad Salzuflen will instantly be reminded a little of being back at school. Under the mottos “Experience technology” and “Getting to know design”, the specialist for decorative surfaces is creating a campus of décor designs and surface technology at its exhibition stand in Hall 22.2.

In its customary trend-setting manner, Süddekor, and its sister company Süddekor Art, will be presenting its new decorative surface products and services along with its innovations at the furniture supplier show in Westphalia. To this end, the trade fair stand will feature a technology world in addition to the three trend worlds for the very first time, allowing the communication of the entire surface expertise and know-how of the 2D Group.

Here, the company is focusing on a board solution for the trade fair presentation of its décors and surfaces. This offers the option of presenting designs in different combinations and variations, while exuding just a hint of school and academia. Furthermore, the “Süddekor campus” will be impressively showing the three “equa”, “com” and “value” trends on large-scale screens with emotional image films, which simultaneously display three-dimensional animations of space worlds with the corresponding new décors, hence revealing just how the designs will be used in practice.

A further film was produced for the technology division, with the focus on presenting various procedures for designing the final surface finish of wood materials. Hence, interested visitors can convince themselves of the competence of the 2D Group in finish foils (D.Fin) and their various options: from pigmented, structured all the way through to foil solutions for flooring. Release papers for the shiny or structuring finish of melamine surfaces provide a further focus to the presentation.

State-of-the-art surface technologies that impress

A special highlight this year is the very first patterning of the structured furniture surface with synchronised pressing plate structure on melamine surfaces. Embossed in register, already established in the flooring segment, has now entered the realm of furniture surface manufacture. The examples shown at the ZOW were created as a Group-internal collaboration between Süddekor and Süddekor Art. Initial projects have already been carried out as a joint venture with an important Austrian wood materials specialist. The results are really quite impressive: realism and pure naturalness are attributes that most appropriately describe this new furniture surface structuring option.
