Must-visit furniture event in Moscow
ZOW put back to November 23-26, 2006
ZOW Moscow, which was originally to be held in April, has been put back to November 23-26, 2006. The furniture supply trade fair for the Russian furniture industry is therefore being staged for the first time in parallel with the most important Russian furniture trade fair, Mebel (November 21-25, 2006). ZOW is again being staged this year in Pavilion 57 of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre (VCC) in Moscow. In 2007, the event will move to an exhibition hall at the VVC which will be newly-built for then.
The linking of dates with Mebel
is driven by the aim of the two organisers, Survey Marketing &
Consulting (Bielefeld/Germany) and Restec Exhibition Company
(St. Petersburg/Russia), to attract even more trade visitors to ZOW
from the Russian furniture industry. “Every year, Mebel attracts over
10,000 trade visitors and therefore offers great potential which we are
looking to exploit in the interests of our exhibitors,” comments
Survey´s managing director Peter H. Meyer on the change of date.
Analysis of opinions from trade visitors has indicated that scheduling
the dates for ZOW to coincide with Mebel was viewed as desirable by
visitors to both trade fairs. The study indicated that the large
distances which need to be covered within the Russian Federation alone
made it sensible to put the dates for the two events together. To
facilitate transfer for exhibitors and visitors alike, the promoters
will organize a shuttle service between Mebel (in the Moscow Expocentr)
and ZOW at the VVC.
Two international events which are being staged at the same time as ZOW
in Pavilion 57 will further increase the attractiveness of this
supplier trade fair: The International Furniture Forum (IFF) congress,
with numerous representatives from politics and industry, and
Tekhnodrev, the specialist trade fair for the wooden crafts and
wood-processing industry, being organized with the participation of the
Nuremberg Trade Fair. Both events generate additional visitor potential
and match perfectly with ZOW in terms of content.
