Light: the top-topic in the a-lounge
Showcased in one compact and high-impact venue in hall 22.1
Illumination, design, alienation – light has many facets and turns furniture into exclusive design objects. Between 14 and 17 February, long-standing exhibitors will set the stage for this exciting topic in the architecture lounge (a-lounge) at ZOW in Bad Salzuflen. Renowned companies, such as Elektra GmbH, Halemeier GmbH & Co.KG, Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., LED-Linear GmbH, Roelens NV, RvP Rudolph von Prusky GmbH and Wilhelm Koch GmbH will showcase in hall 22.1.
The exhibition in the a-lounge is an addition to the fair presentations of the individual exhibitors and its exclusive design objects are mainly geared towards the growing visitor groups of architects, interior design companies and designers at ZOW. Of course, it is also open to other interested visitors. In the a-lounge, creative heads have been offered a meeting point at ZOW, enabling them to take a closer look at interesting products, initiate conversations with exhibitors or colleagues, or to simply rest away from the trade fair’s hustle and bustle. While in 2010, the topic Universal Design was the main focus here, everything will revolve around innovative design solutions with light in 2011. Exhibitors will showcase the entire power spectrum of visual and technical product innovations for the furniture industry and interior design.
LEDs in all of their various application varieties are the key-term for the design and light trends of 2011. The development departments of companies are zealously working on increasing both light yield and energy efficiency of these innovative lighting materials. LEDs are not only to be thought of in the form of a round furniture light, but also possible in many other shapes. One ZOW exhibitor, for example, is going to showcase linear LEDs whose design and functionality remind one of modern fluorescent lamps. „ Another top-topic, however, are also flat LED applications that can be perfectly incorporated into furniture, walls or ceilings and create new design worlds, both in terms of functionality, as well as emotionality”, says Eckhard Halemaier, owner of Halemeier Gmbh & Co. At ZOW in Bad Salzuflen, this can be witnessed once again. The supplier fair East-Westphalia simply is the sector’s trend barometer – at the perfect time and brand-new every year.
